Squid Ink Pasta

Our family loves pasta dishes. I cook pasta about 2-3 times per week. Main staples are Pinoy Spaghetti, Carbonara, and Truffle Mushroom Pasta. The recipes are below, just in case you’re interested.

We are also a fan of Squid Ink Pasta but I’m still looking for other pasta recipes to try other than those that I know of. Para naman may variety, diba? Guess what mga mars? I discovered something that can make our lives easier! Real Pastabilities website! It has a lot of pasta recipes to try out and it’s very easy to navigate! At dahil nga mahilig kami sa squid, the first recipe I tried is this SQUID INK PASTA. Ang sarap!! The whole family loved it! I used El Real Healthy Spaghetti with malunggay and carrot bits which makes this dish more nutritious.

Squid Ink Pasta

  • 350g El Real Healthy Spaghetti
  • 550g squid
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp tomato sauce
  • Salt and black pepper to taste


  1. Lutuin ang El Real Spaghetti base sa package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sa paglinis ng squid, ihiwalay ang ulo mula sa tentacles. Remove the guts. Ingatan na hindi masira ang ink sacs para maipon ito kapag binuksan na sa kahiwalay na bowl.
  3. Hugasang maiigi ang squid. Kapag malinis na, hiwain ang tentacles at idice ang katawan.
  4. Sa hiwalay na pot naman, painitin ang mantika. Igisa pagkatapos ang garlic.
  5. Ilagay na rin ang squid at ink. Takpan muna at hayaang mag-simmer. Para hindi manikit ang sauce sa pot, magdagdag ng konting hot water.
  6. Kapag kumulo na, idagdag ang tomato sauce. Haluin. Takpan ulit and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  7. Toss in El Real Spaghetti. Siguraduhing nahahalong mabuti.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
